Double Trouble – Walker & Kyle Alexander

You can’t deny the Alexander boys belong to Red, talent and personality just run in the family. Who else is going to wear full gear from the time they get in the hotel elevator until they leave?  As we approach this weekend’s race at Cornerstone Ranch in Gardendale, I thought how appropriate would it be to get two 9-year-olds perspective on racing?

  • Who are your top 5 favorite riders of all time? Walker: Dad, Stick, Villopoto, Dungey, and Charlie Mullins Kyle: Villopoto, Dungey, Charlie Mullins, Dad, and Cliff Ousley
  • What is the competition between you and your brother like, any fights over who wins?  Walker: We enjoy battling against each other Kyle: We’re always trying to beat each other, but its always a battle on who will win.
  • What is your goal for this weekends race on your home-turf?  Walker: To get the #1 plate Kyle: Beat Walker
  • Which race are you looking forward to most this year?  Walker: Cornerstone Kyle: Cornerstone
  • Tell us about your most memorable racing experience.  Walker: At Deer Run, it was my first time to beat Kyle after he had been winning a lot of races Kyle: The first race I ever won at Clanton.
  • Do you have any hobbies outside of racing? Walker: Riding my bicycle, football in the yard Kyle: Riding my bicycle, football in the yard, cutting trails with my dad
  • Is there anything special you guys do before heading to the starting line? Walker: Ride around to warm up Kyle: Warm my bike up and we don’t eat on race mornings
